South Central Community Action Program (SCCAP) is seeking a Family Advocate for their Head Start program. The Family Advocate assists with recruitment, intakes, enrollment, health follow-up, attendance, and family advocacy. The Family Advocate works with the Head Start team members composed of education, transportation, parent involvement, family and health services staff to insure that the program meets federal, state, and local standards. SCCAP is a non-profit agency administering programs to low-income families in a 4 county area.
Minimum requirements: Training in Education, Sociology, Social Work or related field plus one to two years relevant work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience in Head Start, and bilingual preferred.
