Comedy and football tickets available

4 p.m. Friday update — The winner of the raffle for tickets to tomorrow’s Indiana-Illinois football game is Edward Pate. Have fun at the game, Edward! With the forecast for unseasonably cold weather tomorrow evening, your seats inside the new North End Project will be the perfect place to watch the game. Thanks again to Bill C. Brown Associates for giving us these tickets.

Ten free tickets to Belt Out Laughing! tonight at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater are available to SCCAP clients on a first-come, first-serve basis. See Kara at the Head Start front desk if you are interested.

The Belt Out Laughing! show will feature comedian Josh Blue, winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, who is particularly appropriate for this event to benefit Stone Belt because Blue lives with cerebal palsy. We thank Stone Belt, a local nonprofit that serves people with developmental disabilities, for making the 10 tickets available for our clients who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to attend this event.

For people besides our clients who would like to attend Belt Out Laughing!, there are still tickets available at the Buskirk-Chumley box office. The show starts at 7:30 tonight. Tickets are $25 and benefit a very good cause.

Also, SCCAP has received two tickets to tomorrow night’s IU vs. Illinois football game from Bill C. Brown Associates. These tickets are for SCCAP employees and will be given away in a drawing at 3:30 on Friday. To enter the drawing, please see or call (ext. 204) Kate in Human Resources.

  1. Belt Out Laughing! to benefit Stone Belt was a really funny, entertaining show last night (Codeword: Bouffant!) that also included some heartwarming moments when we got to learn more about local people who live with disabilities. Thanks to Kara and Abbey for distributing some tickets to Head Start parents. I’m interested to hear whether you get any feedback on what they thought of the show.

  2. Congrats to Edward on winning the tickets! Hope it’s a great game and the weather isn’t too bad.
