More funds on the way to help low-income families and stimulate the economy

The South Central Community Action Program has received its contract for $696,929 in additional Community Services Block Grant funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

These funds will be used for traditional CSBG activities that SCCAP offers to support low-income citizens in Brown, Monroe, Morgan and Owen counties, as well as for new economic development activities that will help people develop their skills to obtain and retain jobs that will keep them out of poverty. We’ll keep you posted on the development of the new activities and programs.
