Former Board President Jack Slaybaugh dies

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Slaybaugh, former president of the SCCAP Board of Directors.  He reluctantly resigned recently to concentrate on his health care. 

Jack devoted many hours of service to the SCCAP Board in service to low-income residents of Brown County.  He served as the representative for the Brown County Chamber of Commerce.  His pleasant demeanor, professionalism, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. 

Once details are available about his funeral services, we will provide them here.

Jack was 78. He was previously a long-time Chief Deputy for the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, according to a notice of his death at bcdemocrat.com.



Here’s information on funeral services that’s been passed along by Beth Pankoski: Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North, Nashville, IN  47448, with a Masonic Service to be held at 7 p.m.

 Funeral services will held on Friday, July 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Cottonwood Church, 2523 Cottonwood Rd., Morgantown, IN 46160, or to the charity of ones’ choice.
